We only stayed for two nights, and if it had been longer, I would have left without looking back. I’ve stayed in many hotels, and I’d tell anyone who values themselves to stay away. Even low-end places could seem five-star beside this one. The food was inedible. For two days it was just pasta and chicken, and the cooking smell of oil was so strong that I couldn’t bring myself to eat it. No one concerned about their heart health should eat it. This is supposedly an all-inclusive hotel, but it doesn’t feel like a hotel at all. At meal times, the food smell coming up made sitting on the balcony unbearable. The room and bathroom were filthy. Dust balls were everywhere when I walked in, the linens were extremely dirty and seemed not to have been washed, and the pillows smelled so bad I had to buy new ones. The shower and toilet seemed like breeding grounds for germs. Friends, don’t go. Our lives are precious.

There were mussel shells under the bed. Don’t go, don’t go, don’t go! At the stated check-in time, we were told the rooms weren’t ready and had to wait 30 minutes. The sink was old, broken, and didn’t work properly. Then I found that the mini-fridge didn’t work, and the air conditioning wasn’t right either. At times it was colder outside than in the room. The food was so bad it could hardly be called food, and it was carelessly prepared. If something ran low or was gone during the meal period, they didn’t replenish it. You either got food or went without. There weren’t enough tables, so we had to wait for one to open up. Around 6-7 pm, they wet the sun loungers so customers wouldn’t sit on them and dirty them, that’s what I was told. The staff seemed disrespectful and undisciplined, and they worked very carelessly. Our room wasn’t cleaned once during our five-day holiday. We told reception and even put out the cleaning card, but nobody cared. When I was leaving, I noticed the seashells under the bed.

We were four, two adults and our twin children, and stayed five nights and six days. The second child would normally cost extra, but they let ours stay free. The garden is huge, the pool was great, and the staff gave excellent service. The owner was always around asking whether everyone was happy, which you never see at some other hotels where you don’t even meet the manager. We joined the activities regularly. The place is close to nightclubs, the market, the marina, and shopping, so we didn’t need a car. Parking was easy to find everywhere. There are a few minor issues: Turkish folk songs seem to play all the time, and there are no foreigners. Still, there’s no discrimination between people. I don’t understand what kind of service people expect from a hotel at such a reasonable price. Instead of paying three or four times as much for all-inclusive stays elsewhere, we used the money we saved for sightseeing and shopping, and were very pleased. May God bless the owner for giving Turkish citizens such good service at an affordable price. If you expect great performance from a hotel, pay 80,000-100,000 TL and go somewhere better.

The food started at 7:00 p.m., but by 7:10 p.m. it was gone. The hotel calls itself all-inclusive and never replenishes anything. Meals were mostly fries, pasta, and chicken. The chicken was too salty to eat, and the potatoes had been fried hours earlier and were so dry. Maybe some pasta was left, otherwise you went hungry. There was a line at the dining hall before 7:00, and you had to be near the front to get what was available that day. The rooms smelled of dirty pillows, and the linens were so filthy I could barely sleep with a T-shirt over my pillow. I’m sure they weren’t washed. The air conditioning and TV didn’t work, and the bathroom and toilet felt so germy I didn’t want to go in. A rooster started crowing at 5:30 a.m. and made it impossible to sleep. The outside noise also carried into the room, so there was no resting in there either. After years of staying at KYK, I’ve never seen anything like this. I stayed only because it was a two-night visit. The price may have been reasonable for somewhere listed as a hotel, but I didn’t expect cleanliness and food to be this bad. It was disgusting beyond imagination. Maybe this mediocrity would be easier to explain if it weren’t listed as a hotel and people didn’t arrive expecting one, but friends, don’t come. Better to stay home than catch germs here.
