Olympos Village

Live music was lovely, and the staff were respectful. The rooms were clean, but the sheets felt very rough and should be replaced. It also takes a long time to get the rooms delivered. Breakfast was cold and inedible, with few choices. There’s no coffee machine at breakfast, only free tea. Everything comes with an extra charge, even using the pool. The management seems weak, and old equipment needs replacing. The wooden house stairs are broken and loose. Don’t book the odd-numbered wooden rooms at all, the surroundings are very noisy and they’re next to the goose breeding nest.

The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, but the billing took away from the experience. We booked the option with breakfast and dinner, then found that every dinner choice on the set menu cost extra. With inflation being so difficult, they should raise the set menu price instead of surprising guests with extra fees. The set menu also cost more than ordering the same dishes a la carte. We expected the bungalow to be rustic, but it should still have been clean. The floor was dirty when we arrived, as if people had walked all over it in shoes. We asked to have it cleaned while we explored Olympus Ancient City, but when we returned it looked just the same, as if they’d forgotten. We ended up keeping our shoes on the whole time. After thinking back on our February stay, I felt disappointed enough to write this. The many positive reviews make me think our experience may have been an unfortunate exception. Olympos village is one of the nicer options in the area, so I hope your stay goes better than mine.

The main issue was the cats. They kept jumping onto my lap during breakfast, and when we ordered kefta and fries to our room and ate outside, a cat got onto the table while we briefly went in to use the bathroom. It ate all the kefta, and we had to throw away the fries for hygiene reasons. Something should be done about that. Otherwise, we were pleasantly surprised by our two-day bungalow stay. The room was clean, there was plenty of privacy, and the location was great. The included breakfast came right to our table with a variety of fresh, delicious items, and the Covid measures seemed excellent. Dinner was good and affordable: a grill platter the first night, then kefta and fries the second. The price was a steal for the experience.
