The beach was nice, but the bus ride there was crowded and nobody wore a mask. There was no distancing around the hotel either, and parties went on late into the night. During the pandemic, the hotel should have enforced stricter rules. Rivero is a huge property with too few people to manage and maintain it properly. Our room was okay for the price, the view was good, and the staff were friendly and polite. Still, the hotel catered so much to Russian tourists that I felt as if I wasn't in Turkey. I go places hoping to experience their culture, but that wasn't really possible here because management seemed focused on a different kind of guest. The all-inclusive setup felt like a failed investment. There was plenty of food, but not much variety in quality: the same dishes in different forms, lots of vegetables, and only chicken and fish I couldn't identify. There wasn't an authentic Turkish dish at the hotel. I'd choose breakfast only and eat in the Centre, where there are many nice restaurants serving good traditional food.

The hotel is right in the centre of Kemer, near the main street and plenty of shops and places. The room was cozy and the service decent, but to me it felt more like a three-star place than a four-star one, especially for a standard room. We were in extreme heat and really wanted cold water, but the fridge didn't work. Neither our request nor our local guide's effort to get it checked led to anything being done. Wi-fi was free only at reception, and the speed depended on how many people were using it. Elsewhere in the hotel it cost $1 per day, with a seven-day minimum. I bought it after three days and was disappointed that the connection was still terrible. The pool was nice. You could borrow towels for outdoor use with a 30 lira deposit, and exchange them daily. As a vegetarian, I was happy with the fresh, tasty, varied food. My boyfriend wanted more meat choices. The desserts, snacks and fruit were great too. Drinks included in all-inclusive weren't very good: every cocktail we tried tasted pretty sweet and much the same, the wines were horrible, especially the white, and Efes beer was okay but nothing premium. Buses ran to the beach and back all day, but they had no air conditioning and were packed every time, so the trip wasn't pleasant. The hotel and city seemed set up mainly for Russian guests. We are Hungarian, and it was a bit uncomfortable because communicating in English was a challenge with most people. Descriptions, programs and music were mainly in Russian too. There were street cats around the whole building, especially at mealtimes, when they went under tables where people were eating and waited for snacks. I also saw them on tables and reception sofas. I like cats and gave them snacks, and I know letting cats in everywhere is common across Turkey. Still, I found it unhygienic that nobody seemed to look after them properly or take them to a vet for checks. They could carry bacteria or disease, and their fur could be a problem for people with allergies.

We came from Kiev and paid $600 for two people with all-inclusive. The room was small but comfortable, the food was delicious, and service was good. The sea was about a 15-minute walk away. Thanks to Residence Rivero Hotel for a great holiday in Turkey!

We had a comfortable bed in a cozy little hotel in the inner city, and the food was acceptable. There were fresh fruits every day, ice cream, and snacks after lunch. The fridge didn't work. We told reception, but nothing was done. WiFi cost $1 per person per day, with a seven-day minimum. There were lots of Russian tourists, though people from other countries stayed too. The staff mostly focused on Russian guests: entertainment was only in Russian and Turkish, and there were very few English speakers. Those who could speak English weren't always helpful to guests who weren't Russian. The food and atmosphere were nice, but they need to improve the English-speaking staff and organization.

It feels like a holiday in Moscow, which might be fine if you weren't actually in Turkey. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially if you don't speak Russian. Most staff were kind, but nearly all spoke only Turkish or Russian. The rooms are old, the beach is far, the food is bad, drinks are low quality, and Covid is ignored. There's no proper coffee, just a machine that makes something tasting like dirt. At night you can't sleep because there's a disco party in the middle of the complex.
