Akkus Kaya Hotel

We were a group from Bulgaria and had booked and paid for 13 double rooms and two single rooms. Even though we arrived with 16 rooms and had paid the same amount, they charged us a €45 penalty. It was a disaster. We're hotel employees from Bulgaria and can't recommend this place to anyone. The employee Sebo told us, “I am always right,” even though we had already paid for the service. The employees are liars. Don't go there!

There's a kettle in the room with coffee and tea, plus free bottled water. The Wi-Fi was strong and fast, and there's a Migros Jet close by if you need anything. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spacious, and the hotel itself is comfortable and close to the city center. Breakfast is served buffet style on the top floor. The one thing that got annoying was hearing the same music every time in the elevator. If you need to do something in Kirklareli, this hotel is a good choice.

The rooms were decent and clean, and the dinner buffet was okay, though tasteless. Maybe it is the best hotel in town, judging by how the town looks, but that doesn't make for a great stay. The room was cold even with the AC set to 25 all night. I usually like sleeping at 18-20 degrees, but this was colder than that. The corridors and stairwell were very dark at night, and I needed my phone flashlight to get around. Avoid the fifth floor: the restaurant is right above it, and at 6:30 am I was woken by chairs, tables, and other things being dragged around. You can hear everything. Luckily, I was only there for one night. Nobody speaks English, and the Wi-Fi signal was very poor, so don't count on it.

The room was okay and the reception staff were friendly. The ceiling was a bit damaged, and the minibar was empty.
