The hotel looks like it hasn't been updated in 60 years, and the rooms are ugly with the worst bathrooms. The food was absolute garbage and service was a joke. A waiter pulled my soup bowl away while the spoon was in my mouth. This place is at the end of its life. I can't believe our travel agent booked it.

When I asked for a razor blade, staff said they didn't have one. They also don't provide a clothes iron. They seemed quite unresponsive to requests, and that level of service is far below what I'd expect from a five-star hotel.

The hotel is genuinely old, and you can see it in the bath, carpets, and furniture, but it doesn't feel worn out. Everything was kept clean. The rooms are big, the place is clean, breakfast is nice, and the price is good. There's complete inventar, and the staff are friendly, so don't let their accent put you off. Parking is available in front, with a tram station and tower right across from the hotel.

The pool and sauna were under “maintenance” with no known end date, and breakfast was disappointing. One of the water bottles in the room was half full. The shower pressure was so high it felt meant for elephants. It was impossible to communicate in English with reception or management because they don't know the language. They proudly call this a five-star hotel, but nothing could be further from the truth.

Some employees were rude, and they showed no interest in helping with the luggage. They hand you a key and leave you to find your room on your own while carrying your bags.
