Kumbos Otel Restaurant

The food was delicious, the view was pleasant, and the prices felt reasonable, especially compared with other places along the coast. It’s worth a visit in Kumbağ for the taste and value. Parking near the harbor was easy to find before getting there. The calamari was very good and the shrimp casserole delicious. The mussels in the pan were more plentiful than usual, though there were a few fewer by the time I took photos. They tasted good, if a little bland. The tarator sauce could use work, since it didn’t pair well with the mussels or calamari. The single servings were filling, too. The frustrating part was the menu and the lack of clear explanations. It was our first time there, and without seeing a menu it was hard to decide what we wanted. When we asked for one, we were told prices weren’t listed. Asked what they had, we got something like, “We only have fish.” When we asked about the cost, they gave us a rough total for what we’d ordered. The man with glasses seemed a little withdrawn, or maybe he’d just had a tiring day. Luckily, we’d looked up what to eat beforehand. The prices not being clear was annoying.
