Karaoz Pansiyon

Village, beach, high mountains. You're right in the middle of it all.

Papaz Bay was an easy five-minute drive from the house, and we often swam there. It works for non-swimmers and people learning to swim, though some days the water gets rough. The Aysu Bunglow was also well placed for nearby sights. We visited Adrasan and Olympos, both with wonderful beaches, and also went to Yanartaş and Çıralı. Karaöz Beach was rocky and very wavy on the day we tried it, so we didn't enjoy swimming there. We stayed from July 31, 2024, to August 4, 2024. It was our first visit, and we weren't sure what to expect. We drove from Ankara and had some trouble finding Karaöz after exploring a bit. The roads felt difficult to us, as we're used to Central Anatolia's flatter, smoother, curvier roads. Eventually we found Karaöz Aysu Bunglows, where our aunt welcomed us. The house was very clean and had all the basics for a vacation: a big refrigerator, washing machine, air conditioning, stove, kettle, and even an oven. We chose the place because we wanted a pool, and that turned out to be a good call for a family with kids. They could swim there when the sea was rough or the adults weren't going in. As a teacher, I also had to give private lessons during the week, and the WiFi was essential. I taught online easily while the whole family was connected, and the signal and speed were excellent. The A101 highway was only 500 meters away, which made it easy to get what we needed. A few things to know about Yanartaş: it's a long walk, so wear shoes for the mountain path. There's an entrance fee, and they don't accept credit cards. If you're going with children, you can bring marshmallows to warm over the fire. The view is better in the evening, but bring a flashlight or make sure your phone is fully charged for its light. We had a wonderful week at Aysu Bunglow. Thanks to the owners. We only managed to stay away for one day before coming back to the place where we'd spent four nights. We didn't think we'd return so quickly. Here we are again! 🌒 It's a lovely spot for families with children, where you can spend time from early morning until midnight. We've now stayed in two different bungalows, and liked both. This time we had the one by the pool, so we could stay closer to the kids. The rooms are clean and practical, with a stove and fridge for a holiday. The air conditioning keeps them comfortably cool. We're still here, and want to thank Ibrahim and Durdu for being so welcoming. 🙏

The rooms and pool were very clean, and Durduş and Tayfun looked after us so attentively. We came across the place online and found a chance to stay in early July 2024. It's comfortable for families with children, and waking up to birdsong was lovely. The beach at Karaöz is within walking distance. If you're in Antalya, I recommend staying here. It's already one of my favorite places to stay in the years ahead.
