Batıhan Vadi Hotel

The weather was rather grey when our stay began, but the whole team made it easy to overlook. Everyone we met was friendly and caring, and you could tell the staff put real dedication into their work. A special thank you to Mert, Ahmet and Rıfat from the restaurant team at Batihan Vadi Hotel. Their service was especially warm and attentive, and they helped make our stay truly special. Thank you all! 🙏

We left without using the pool once and were refused a refund for its heating. We paid for it because it was October, but the water was green and there was a horrible smell from the bathroom. We reported both problems. Nothing was done about the pool until two days before we left, when staff put 50 litres of chlorine in it and texted us that it would be usable in a couple of hours. We could have been badly burned if we had gone in. The maintenance staff didn’t know what they were doing; we asked them to test the water, and the results were off the scale. Staff also lied and falsified records to claim the pool had been maintained daily. That is simply untrue. The food was awful and the same each night. We had to seek out staff when we wanted a drink, and they were miserable and rude. Reception staff were especially rude, lazy and dishonest. The resort’s food and service were terrible, and the pool wasn’t properly cleaned or maintained during our stay. They held their end-of-season party while the resort was still full, leaving about four staff to look after all the guests. This was our first trip to Turkey, and it will definitely be our last. Please think carefully before booking. We absolutely won’t stay here again.

The hotel is a lovely, quiet place, but confusing rules and the way security treated us badly affected the stay. Visitors aren’t allowed into guest rooms. I understand there can be security rules, but this felt too restrictive when I wanted to host a family member. After lunch at the on-site restaurant, my brother and I were walking toward a common area when security chased us down in a buggy. We were just trying to take a walk, but were told we couldn’t pass because we were near the villas, even though I was a hotel guest. It was jarring. I felt like an intruder, and my brother was treated like a suspect. The grounds are nice, but the hotel needs to improve customer service and train staff to treat guests with more respect and less hostility.

We had a superior villa for our family of four and rented a car so we could get around independently. The villa was comfortable and high standard, though the living room felt a bit small with both kids’ beds out. The private garden, pool and jacuzzi were perfect. There are lots of activities, from minigolf to spa and tennis, all set among pretty gardens and flowers. Breakfast was great, and the restaurant was convenient, with good, varied food, though prices were close to European levels. The staff were super helpful, thanks again. We’d definitely recommend it.
