Risus Garden Marina Hotel

We couldn’t check into our room until 5 pm because they were spraying insecticide around the rooms. There were still dozens of mosquitoes, moths, and spiders afterward. Our refrigerator and telephones didn’t work, and nobody was available to fix them. They didn’t even apologize. There was no TV remote, the toilet wouldn’t flush properly, and at around 4 in the morning the sprinkler beside our room started loudly spraying water against the door and window, keeping us awake. The next day the toilet flooded from the plumbing too. They moved us to another room, but offered no compensation for all the problems. Breakfast was a joke, just half an egg, one sausage with fries, and a little cheese. The customer service was the worst I’ve experienced in any country. The staff weren’t friendly or helpful at all. I’d never visit again or recommend it to anyone.

We had booked breakfast, but there wasn’t really a spread in the restaurant, so as vegetarians we ended up with just French fries 🍟. Still, the location is perfect for tourists without a vehicle, with everything right outside the hotel, and the experience was good overall.

I loved the cottage setting and the well-kept garden. The room was good, though the bathroom felt quite small. Meal service could use more attention: food came on a tray, with no choice about what you’d be eating. They need to focus more on guests and the food, and this could become a much sought-after vacation destination.

I had a pleasant 9-day stay at RISUS HOTEL. The staff were very helpful, and I’d highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be back in September. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
