The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is right by the beach. There’s also a lovely seaside walk you can reach by taking the elevator straight down. The supermarket is just a minute away on foot, so the location is great. The elevator is a little small, so allow extra time when it’s busy. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay!

The elevator barely fits three people and takes at least five minutes to reach your floor. My room smelled awful, especially the bathroom. The shower was poor too: weak water flow, no way to adjust the temperature, and water leaked under the screen. The toiletries didn’t do their job. My air conditioning was broken, so I was cold, and I never got the spare blanket they’d promised. The pool called “heated” was cold. I tried the Turkish bath to warm up, but the smell was awful; then I found the sauna switched off, and reception refused to turn it on. After all that, a waiter practically pressured me to leave a five-star review. Here’s my honest one: bad hotel.

We were three women traveling alone, so having internet to stay in touch with our families mattered a lot. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all during our four nights, and the problem seemed to predate our visit. Nobody warned us, either on the hotel website or through our travel agency. The staff handling it were unhelpful and showed no empathy; they even gave us misleading information. Only the restaurant waiters were kind enough to let us briefly use their mobile internet to contact our families. The standard room was clean but very small, with a tiny balcony. Although all rooms were said to have sea views, many only offer a small corner of the sea. Some hotel areas were in terrible shape, especially the lobby ceilings, where water dripped into buckets placed below. Food was average: breakfast and dinner were acceptable, but lunch was poor and repetitive. Meal times were too limited, and when they ended, there was no food left.

We had a lovely atmosphere in the dining room with live music, and the singer had a great voice. Mr Polat was a fantastic, engaging entertainer, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room had a stunning view, and the food was good. Great stay.
