We only managed one night, though I wish we could’ve stayed longer. We had three rooms, all spacious, tidy, bright, and very clean, as was the rest of the place. Breakfast was served in the lush backyard. The owner/manager and his family were extremely polite and decent. A short stay, but a wonderful experience in beautiful surroundings.

The food was all right, but there were no prices on the menu. We ended up paying twice what we’d paid at other places.

Devrim abi chatted with each customer individually, which we really appreciated. We’d stopped for trout on the way back from Sümela Monastery, following a recommendation. The fish cooked in oil was fresh and delicious, 250 TL for one portion. We hadn’t ordered a salad to share, but one came and we were charged 200 TL because we’d assumed it was complimentary. They should’ve told us it cost extra.

We stayed three nights instead of the one we’d originally planned. The owners and their whole family worked hard to make guests happy, and came across as honest and dedicated. Our room was clean and had the basic things we needed. Breakfast was buffet-style, with a filling, tasty spread. We also had trout one evening, cooked beautifully. Falling asleep to the sound of the water was lovely. If we return to the Sümela area, this is where we’ll stay.
