Armas Pemar Beach

The pools and slides were nice, with good activities for kids. The animation team, Melek, Emir, and Ozzy, were lovely and put on fun things like beach volleyball, parties, and darts. The beds were hard, though, and not great to sleep on.

We spent a week here. The atmosphere was good for children, there was plenty to do, the pool was a good size, and we could still find a sunbed even when we arrived late. But the rooms were dated and not cleaned well. Our sheets were changed only once, despite the leaflet saying every two days. The food was just alright, often cold, and some things weren’t properly cooked. The forks and other utensils weren’t cleaned properly either. There were a couple of uncomfortable incidents by the kids’ pool. A Russian couple sat beside us and smoked while my child was on the sunbed. We moved him, and they started saying things in their language while looking at us. Another time we left towels on two sunbeds, since our son would share ours and we didn’t need a third. While we were in the kids’ pool, another family moved our towels onto one bed and took the other. My husband asked them about it, but they ignored him. He told the lifeguard, who didn’t seem to care or do anything, so we left the pool and went back to our room. They were Russian as well. There were a lot of Russian tourists, which made the atmosphere feel awkward to me. I wouldn’t book this hotel again. It’s rated five stars, but I’d give it 3.5.

We had a great holiday and made some lovely memories. The hotel is good for kids, with plenty to do and fantastic pool areas. The rooms are dated but clean, and food is available all the time with a decent choice. I especially liked the children’s buffet, since even my fussy kids found things they could eat every day. There were lots of Russian guests and Russian was the main language spoken, but it didn’t bother us. Staff were polite and helpful. It isn’t a five-star hotel, though we didn’t pay five-star prices.

We’re planning to come back a second time because we had such a good stay. The outside of the hotel is lovely, the service is very good, and there’s plenty of good food to choose from. The animation team was amazing too. There were lots of Russian guests, and if you book an economy room you may get a poor view and no balcony. Apart from those two downsides, everything was great. :)
