Flora Garden Beach Hotel

The resort felt like good value for what we paid, and we got a really good holiday deal. At a premium price, though, I probably wouldn't choose it again. The pool was a decent size, and the boho beach bar made for a relaxing spot by the sea. The location is very close to the water, with beautiful views that make up for the fairly small rooms. Food was generally good, but the fruit was much the same every day and hot options were limited. The coffee shop included in the all-inclusive package was excellent and a real plus. Service was uneven. The cleaners and bartenders were genuinely friendly and made an effort, especially with cocktails, though some staff weren't very attentive. The restaurant dress code seemed odd for a beach resort, especially the ban on Birkenstocks. There was noticeable traffic noise at times from the nearby motorway, and entertainment was limited, with no proper animation team that we could see. We also tried the fish à la carte restaurant, but it didn't feel worth the extra effort.

The setting was pretty remote, but the sunsets were stunning, and the gardens were attractive and well maintained. Staff were fantastic and always willing to help, and the coffee shop service was excellent. The animation team, especially Sera and Isilay, made the pool time and evening entertainment a lot of fun. Adam, serving drinks around the pool, was a great addition too. The food really needs work. There wasn't much choice, and turkey and chicken came up every day. Soups were poor, bread options were limited, and the spaghetti bolognaise was basically pasta with plain tomato sauce and just a few bits of mince. Breakfast was our favourite meal because the fresh omelette was the only hot food we got from the buffet. The woman making fresh cheese-filled pitta-style bread in the beach hut was a lifesaver. Salads were okay and varied, while the pool bar food was only lukewarm. The beach bar was a nice place for a cocktail. The nearest shops were a straightforward 15-minute bus ride, with stops outside the hotel. Side took about 40 minutes and two buses, or a taxi costing 60-70 euros each way. We had a relaxing holiday, but my husband, who isn't fussy, really struggled with the food. We paid an extra £70 for the on-site steakhouse, and it was worth it.

Isilay and Sarah were the highlight of the trip for us. We started each day with Isilay's yoga, Pilates and stretching in the Zen Garden, and in the evenings they got everyone dancing. They really brightened our stay. The hotel was peaceful and beautiful, a lovely choice for a romantic break. Our room was cleaned to a high standard every day, and the cleaning staff were friendly and accommodating. Everyone at the hotel was wonderful and helpful. I'd absolutely recommend it to couples looking for a relaxing escape from everyday stress.

Breakfast was really good, though I wish the meals you have to book were included, since there wasn't much choice in the main restaurant. The bar drinks were exceptional, and the staff were very attentive. Isilay and Sera from the animation team kept the evening atmosphere lively and ran fun pool activities. Our room was clean, but the first one smelled of chlorine and its air conditioning broke. After we moved rooms, everything was perfect.
