Irmak was such a nice stop, and the Khavalti was nearly the best we’ve had. The egg was easily the tastiest, and there were lots of dishes. It cost us only 80Tl pp. If you’re heading to Green Lake, I wasn’t impressed with it, so I’d stop at Irmak instead of waiting until you get there. You get much more for less, and the quality is better. The place is lovely, right by the Riverside, and the food is fantastic quality for a cheap price. We tried a few other “recommended” spots, but they were full of Monster Tours buses and pushy foreign tourists. Those places cost more and weren’t worth it. Tour guests don’t know what they’re missing, paying too much for so little. The key to success: when they quote a price in Tl, the quality will be better than when they quote in Euros. Enjoy!
