The pool and balcony were nice, and there was no noise from parties. The shower worked well, but a strong smell from the drain filled the room. I was itching all night, which had never happened to me while traveling in Turkey before. I had small bumps, so I wondered if it could be bedbugs. Breakfast was served plated rather than as a buffet. The cooker was quickly replaced with one that worked, but the room Wi-Fi barely reached. The hotel was neither bad nor very good overall.

There was trouble from the start. We waited 15 minutes after arriving and rang the bell several times before anyone answered. We'd booked a three-bed bedroom through booking.com, but were first given a tiny room with two beds. The bed was maybe 140 cm wide, and there was barely room to move. It smelled awful, and loose cables hung from the ceiling. Nobody spoke English or German, so we had to ask Turkish friends to complain for us. After a long discussion, they moved us to a three-bed room, where my mum and I at least had room to move. It smelled better, but still had loose cables, doors that wouldn't lock from inside, and a towel holder that looked ready to fall off. The first room was next to the mosque, so prayers were very loud. The second faced a fairly large construction site, with noise from morning until evening. The balcony was so dirty we couldn't use it. Our rooms were clean when we arrived, but from Thursday to Monday nobody came to clean, change towels, or replenish toilet paper. The blanket was like a big towel, so we were glad we'd brought our own. I can't comment on breakfast, since it started at 8:30 AM and we usually had to leave by 8 AM or earlier. I can't rate the Wi-Fi either. You can park in what looks like a field, though construction vehicles were there too. They say checkout is available until noon, but when we said we'd leave between 6:30 and 7 AM, they told us checkout starts at 11:30 AM, which led to another argument. I wouldn't recommend this place. We had nothing but trouble. I've added photos of the room they first tried to give us, but I don't have any of the other one.

We stayed for one night and slept well. The room was very large and clean, and the staff were helpful.

Mustafa invited me to a little dinner in front of the hotel and helped me order some really good food at local prices. I was surprised how much I liked this hidden gem: we paid about 20 Euros for one night, and it exceeded what I expect from most four-star hotels. The newer complex has a pool open late, and while the staff barely speak English, they’re keen to help and use Google Translate to chat. I had a bit of trouble unlocking my room with the key card when I arrived, but that was my only complaint. There are also several free parking spaces, despite what some booking pages say. I’d recommend it again anytime.
