Maya Golf Hotel - All Inclusive

At Maya Golf Hotel in Antalya, the staff were unfriendly and didn't help during my stay. I was frustrated to find WiFi came at an extra charge, and getting around the four floors without an elevator was difficult, especially with heavy luggage. The rooms weren't clean and I didn't enjoy the buffet food. Most of the guests seemed to be European, which gave me the impression that the hotel didn't live up to its supposed 4-star rating. Based on my stay, I can't recommend it.

For a low price, the conditions were pretty good. Staff were polite and helpful, and there's plenty nearby, including pharmacies, shops and mini markets, plus common entertainment throughout the day. The beach is about a 10-minute walk along a pleasant road, with enough loungers. I really appreciated the ayran at the beach bar. The room service could have been better, but was good enough. There wasn't much food variety, though what there was tasted good. The bar had a small but decent selection of drinks. WiFi was available only near reception and was pretty bad, but better than nothing. The gym wasn't popular, so we were glad to have it to ourselves, though some equipment needed repairs. There were at least two spots with live chickens, including roosters that started crowing at sunrise, very early. Our room was near one, which was disappointing. Earplugs helped but weren't enough. Be aware of that. Most guests were from Russia. If you're after an inexpensive, lazy break, this hotel may suit you.

The service was excellent and the hotel was very good. The room did get too hot, though. They could avoid that by leaving a card in the system so the air conditioning doesn't switch off.

The rooms smelled really bad, and the staff were rude. One waiter even shouted at my husband, while the woman at the cocktail bar pulled strange faces at us. Food was limited and only available for a short time. You also can't swim or get drinks whenever you want because there are set hours. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
