Side Papirus Hotel

SKYS and THE FLYING HORSE are only a two-minute walk away, with amazing drinks and food between them. Give Cherry, the Chef, and Mohammed Ali, her waiter in the wings, a big shout out. Love you all, see you next year. There's so much to see when you wander around. The little hotel itself could be great for couples or families with young children who want a quieter kind of holiday. It was lovely, and the staff were funny, amazing, and interacted with everyone. Some tweaking to how things are done would make it a great getaway. We arrived late, around 23:15 after more than five hours of flying and travel. We filled in a form, were shown the room, and that was it, no kettle or even a glass for water. The 5am call to morning prayers woke us, but we didn't mind since we're early birds, and went for a wander. Back at 7:15, I wanted coffee and had to wake a staff member, who said it was too early. Apparently 8am is the start for all inclusive. After two days the room still hadn't been cleaned. Another family told us we had to find the cleaner, hand over our key, and ask her to clean it. The hotel food was okay, but there was no vodka for my wife, so she wasn't happy. Our little man loved the pool, and some staff played with him, which he loved too. There weren't any kids' snacks with all inclusive, though, and we had one towel for the three of us. We asked for more and were still waiting.

We had a fantastic time. The hotel was basic but lovely and clean, and the food was delicious. The drinks selection was very small, but otherwise it was great.

Really unhappy with the service. They'd double-booked our room, so the three of us had to stay in a small room with two single beds. There was no food available either, so we had to go out to eat. What a joke. We won't be coming back.

The hotel manager Aslam and the staff made us feel very welcome and helped us with every part of our stay. We had an excellent week.
