Green Park Hotel Mardin

We paid for three rooms, but only one was available at check-in. The hotel knew we were coming, yet had no proper solution. Hours went by as we were told the other rooms would be ready later, and even at night the third room still wasn’t available. The room we did get had no hot water, and its air conditioning didn’t work. Staff kept saying technicians would fix things, but nothing was resolved. We spent our time waiting for rooms and chasing updates instead of enjoying Mardin. It’s especially frustrating that reservations continued to be accepted when the hotel apparently couldn’t provide the rooms and facilities guests had booked and paid for. If you’re thinking of staying, your room might not be ready, the hot water or AC might not work, and you may spend the trip dealing with excuses. This was one of my worst hotel stays. These are basic services, not small inconveniences. The management and maintenance were completely unacceptable, and the guest experience was very disappointing. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it to anyone. ⭐☆☆☆☆ Avoid This Hotel, Completely Unacceptable Experience.

The time we expected to spend relaxing instead went to waiting, checking with reception, and dealing with problems that should have been fixed before guests arrived. We came to check in and found that some of the rooms we’d reserved weren’t available. Even after a long wait and several conversations with staff, we were still missing one room late in the evening. There was no hot water, and the air conditioning didn’t work. We were repeatedly told the issues would be sorted soon, but things barely improved. A hotel should provide the room guests booked and make sure essential amenities work. Green Park Mardin failed on both counts. There are plenty of places to stay in Mardin, and based on our experience I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere. ⭐☆☆☆☆ Do not let the photos fool you.

When we told management that the rooms were very cold, they said, “There’s nothing we can do.” We were also offered a refund and told we could leave, rather than given a solution. Their lack of concern and poor communication left us very upset. We had checked in around 10:00 AM, but when we got to our room at 6:00 PM, it was still dirty and hadn’t been cleaned. That was unacceptable for both hygiene and guest satisfaction. The service and attitude toward our problems fell well short of what we expected. After this experience, we absolutely can’t recommend the hotel.

The children had a great time in the pool, which was one reason we chose this hotel based on the weather. We came with them for a holiday after friends recommended the place, and the staff welcomed us warmly and were ready to help. Breakfast was varied, unlimited, and had options for kids each day. The restaurant was tasty and very reasonably priced. We got to try the whole menu, though the mixed pide (Turkish flatbread) wasn’t really to our taste. Rooms were cleaned daily, and towels and sheets were changed. Reception was quick to help, too, worth an extra 100 points. This is a business that values its customers.
