Abroz Apart Otel

The rooms are a reasonable size, about what you’d expect for a hotel room, but our stay had some serious problems. We went several days, around three or four, without hot water, which made showering especially difficult at a seaside place. There were power cuts for a few days too, and using the washing machine costs extra. They also require payment upfront. I don’t think I’d return.

The garden is the only place to spend time outside, and the breakfast is a basic option that costs extra. Some of the cheeses had such a strong smell that they put me off eating. The rooms in the older building are badly neglected and hygiene was awful, so I’d be cautious about bringing small children. Our arrival wasn’t really greeted at all: a sullen employee went straight to the rules and asked us to pay in advance. They said checkout was 8 am, but I stayed, and you may need to push back if they act as though they can make you leave whenever they want. The silver lining is that seeing the problems here made me appreciate other places more. Maybe it suits people over 65...

The island’s shared sea and beaches were the one part of our stay I was happy with. At the lodging, the doors were in such poor shape that closing them made my arm ache, and without fly screens, flies were everywhere. I was nervous about opening the door while cooking in case more got in. The internet was awful and the TV was old. Between 3 and 5 a.m. on our last night, old pipes caused the kitchen to flood. We had to scoop up the water ourselves, and even had to ask for the equipment we needed. The garden was passable, though the tables looked tacky. Choose carefully, folks.

Saraylar Resort was a lovely choice for a peaceful family break. The sea was beautiful and very clean, and the apartment owner took great care of us, making the place feel clean and comfortable. Thanks to everyone who helped make the holiday so nice.
