Aegean Park Hotel

The staff were lovely, helpful, and accommodating, and the location was great. It's close to the beach and central to most bars and shops, but without the bar noise. The room was comfortable enough for sleeping, though it lost a star for not having a fridge. The food, all-inclusive deal, and pool hours let the hotel down. The pool closed at 6 p.m., despite the 34+ degree heat every day in Marmaris. Dinner food showed up again at breakfast the next morning, with no variety. All-inclusive didn't cover snacks, ice cream, or water when the bar was closed. Meals were served in fixed two-hour slots, with at least 150 people trying to get food at once. The bar was open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., then 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., which doesn't feel all-inclusive.

The location is amazing, but I wouldn't stay here again. There are A, B, and C room blocks. We spent one night in A, where the rooms were very old and dirty and the bathroom tiles were all cracked. The rooms in B were much better, but during our two-week stay they were never cleaned. We had to keep going to reception for toilet roll, and we were given just two towels for the whole stay. When we asked for fresh ones, they said they had none. The staff were lovely to us, though their English wasn't very good. We ate out every day because the food wasn't great, and the pool was dirty.

We loved the peaceful, relaxing feel and would go back next year. The pools were very clean, and the bar had coffee, juice, and water available all day. Food changed daily, with salads, pasta, chips, chicken, and other dishes. It's mostly Turkish food, so don't expect English meals every day. If you want English food, there are lots of inexpensive places along the seafront. We liked Tiffany’s and Salt & pepper bar. The hotel is in a prime spot, with the beach two minutes around the corner, shops right outside, and ATMs and taxis next door. Rooms are basic but very clean, and the staff were fantastic, friendly, and helpful. The place has changed a lot.

Please don't book here. The hotel is shabby, old, and dirty, and the food was disgusting. Toilet smells drift through the dining area. Staff were rude and unhelpful, and the alcoholic drinks were terrible and served in plastic cups. The hotel was full of arrogant Russians. Food poisoning seemed like a real possibility. One star at best.
