At night, take a look out at the back patio, there are wild pigs around 😅. We had a car, so getting around was easy, and I liked being near the beach in a quiet neighborhood, away from the city and close to nature. Cafer was welcoming and easy to talk to, gave us helpful advice, and even treated us to breakfast once. We left Alkali house feeling like we’d made a friend. It was our favorite stay in all turkey.

We were very happy with the warm welcome from Mr. Cafer and Ms. Handan. Alkali House is tucked into the forest, with the sea nearby, and it felt peaceful and relaxing. Our room was clean and comfortable. A lovely guesthouse for a stay with family or friends.

The natural setting, the sea, and the friendly staff made this first Marmaris holiday much more enjoyable than I expected after stays at other places. I’d recommend it without hesitation, and I’m sure I’ll come back.

Handan Hanım and Cafer Bey were so thoughtful and hospitable. The place is clean, roomy, and right among nature. Bring a full bag, though, you may need to feed a whole family of pigs :)
