We found it easy to relax here, with polite, friendly staff and good food. Sam and Jack, the managers, were excellent and did all they could to help. There was no pressure from anyone, and we could just do our own thing. It’s a simple, quiet place close to all amenities, without the hassle or dance boys bothering you. If that’s the kind of break you want, this is a good spot, and we’ll definitely return. Our apartment was changed to this one just seven days before we flew, and what a blessing that turned out to be. We arrived around 3am and Sam met us and showed us to our room. It had a pool view, though I don’t think that really matters. We got up at 9am expecting the usual rush for sunbeds, but there wasn’t one. The pool isn’t huge, but it’s adequate. I imagine most people go to the beach or use it as a bolt hole, though that’s up to them.

It’s comfortable, and the service is very friendly. Jack will look after your needs. There’s no TV in the apartment, so don’t expect a five-star hotel. I’d suggest paying for the air con, especially in summer. The beach is nearby, and Migros is a good supermarket with everything in stock.

We’re already planning to book again next year. The apartments stayed immaculate thanks to the cleaner, who only has one day off a week, and the food was first class as usual. It was good to see the same chef I’ve known for years, so we knew the cooking would be up to a high standard. They could also make dishes with gluten-free ingredients for my husband. This was our first summer holiday in five years, and another fantastic two weeks at Ayhan Apartments. Sam, who’s worked there for years, greeted us and then handed us over to the very efficient Jack. Jack came to work impeccably dressed every afternoon for a long shift, serving customers into the early hours on most mornings. The staff have all been there for years and go above and beyond to make sure guests have a great holiday. Nothing was too much trouble, and they always served with a smile, even when ignored by passers-by or dealing with unruly customers.

We’ve stayed here before, but this time will definitely be our last. For the final 10 days of our holiday, we felt victimised because we didn’t eat at the restaurant. As we boarded our transfer coach, Jack shouted obscenities at us in front of people sitting in the restaurant. He only seemed interested in us when we ate there. Jack is the new manager. He was rude and foul-mouthed, slept on the sun loungers all night, then got up to serve in the restaurant, wearing basically the same clothes for days. The food was always swimming in oil and barely edible. This is a self-catering apartment place that hasn’t changed in years and badly needs updating. I wouldn’t recommend it. There are much nicer, cheaper places to stay.

Avoid this place. The pool is only 8 foot long, there was no toilet paper, and the self-catering equipment needs to be better. No TV was fine, but air con cost £40 and the safe was £15 at the unmanned reception.
