Marmaris Park Hotel

The sea decking was my favorite spot. You can go straight from it down the steps into the clear water, without dealing with sand, and there were plenty of sunbeds in both shady and sunny places. We watched the fish and even spotted a barracuda. There's also a covered seating area and a bar down there for drinks and snacks. We were there October 5th to 15th, just outside the season, so I can't say how easy it is to find a bed during peak season. Our seven-month-old had a lovely time, especially because the restaurant staff were so warm with him. They have high chairs, and Abdurrahim was always smiling, making our son giggle and bringing him extra fruit. We hope to see him next year and show him how much our son has grown. The buffet had something for everyone, and the wait staff were wonderful. The pool was clean and had amazing views too, while the pool bar was well stocked and always had staff around. The room was kept clean, the beds made and bins emptied each day, and the cleaning team were lovely and kept us supplied with towels. The accommodation could use an update, which I understand is planned for the off-season. Our shower leaked, and the front door let water in during a storm. The air conditioning worked well, though it switched off overnight, and having a fan helped. The on-site spa was clean and reasonably priced. I'd recommend the Turkish bath, it was invigorating and a great way to start and end the holiday. We didn't make much use of the entertainment because we like walking around and using places outside the resort. The resort is pleasant, but could do with some updating. The staff are what really made it shine, and we'll probably come back next year.

Our first room had a window facing a wall, with almost no proper airflow. Humidity got so bad our clothes felt damp, it was uncomfortable to breathe, and paper items even grew mold. We asked reception for help several times a day. At first they said we'd have to pay extra to change rooms, but on day three the administrator/manager came by, understood the situation, and arranged a move at no charge. We really appreciated the help. The hotel sits in a lovely green part of Marmaris, with scenic views. One frustration was the sunbeds by the pool and beach: towels were put out early to reserve them, despite a rule saying unattended towels would be removed. That rule wasn't enforced while we were there. Food was mostly tasty, though meat options were limited. Freshly grilled fish was served on most evenings, which was a plus. Fruit choices were few, and what was available often didn't have much flavor. We stayed for seven days and came away with mixed feelings. The place has a beautiful setting and potential, but some aspects of service could be better for guests' comfort.

The restaurant and bar servers were helpful and friendly, but our room was pretty basic, with two single beds pushed together, which disappointed me. We stayed for 10 nights in August. The all-inclusive food tasted good, though it got repetitive, and there wasn't a huge selection, mostly melon. I'm glad we didn't bring children, as there was nothing for them to do.

That sea view from the pier and sunbeds was the main reason we booked, along with the reasonable price, and it was every bit as gorgeous as we'd hoped. We stayed as a couple for six nights. Our comfortable room had what we needed, working air conditioning, a sea-view balcony, and a very friendly cleaning team who kept on top of things. The cicadas in the woods were deafening at first, but after a few days I found the sound relaxing and part of the atmosphere. We loved the food, with plenty of variety at lunch and dinner. The beach bar serves pizza and chips, handy when you're spending the day by the water, though the pizza wasn't very filling as a snack. Drinks are a bit limited, but soft drinks and water are easy to get, and hot drinks are served on the main building's terrace. You can get beer at the beach bar, wine and spirits at the other bars, and cocktails only at the pool bar, which stays open until 2am. There's a small shop for things like sun cream and gifts, plus a leather shop selling winter coats. Water sports were quite expensive. For a boat trip, Jimmy on the pier can sort you out, and he'll find you at some point. The spa massage was reasonably priced and super relaxing, with several treatments available. We also had seafood at the seaside a la carte restaurant one night, and it was delicious. Most guests seemed to be Russian, so the hotel is mainly geared toward them. Most staff speak enough English to get by. There was nightly entertainment after dinner, but honestly we didn't think much of it and didn't join in. The WiFi was pretty terrible and only worked in the main building. Aside from mealtimes, there wasn't much to snack on beyond the beach bar pizza. We'd highly recommend Marmaris park hotel.
