Verona Apart Hotel

We booked through Jet 2 for two weeks, but ended up cutting the holiday short by five days after I came down with confirmed Campylobacter food poisoning on the first day. We’d already booked Verona Apartments for next year at a decent price, but came straight home and cancelled. I don’t want to return. The apartments are well located, and our loft room was basic but clean. Air conditioning cost extra and was only in the bedroom, so we also had to hire a fan for our son on the sofa bed in the living area. The pool area was clean, but getting a sunbed was another matter. By 6am they all had towels on them. One morning we saw hotel staff putting towels on every lounger at 4am for guests who were paying them to reserve the beds, then those guests didn’t appear until midday. One lady took all the towels off one morning and went back to her balcony to watch the drama. The staff weren’t especially friendly unless you spent the day by the pool eating, drinking, and running up a tab. Walk in with a supermarket bag and you’ll get glares. Turkey is getting expensive in general. Inflation is part of it, as it is everywhere, but greed is clearly part of it too.

The pool area was lovely and clean, with comfy sunbeds, though the water was freezing. I only managed to get in up to my knees lol. Our one-bedroom apartment was a decent size, clean, and had daily maid service. The beds were really comfy. A toaster would’ve been useful. We had a great week here, and for the price I’d highly recommend it. It’s a small, friendly, family-run hotel, very well managed, and the team can’t do enough for you, especially Daniel and Shaun. The outside bar food and drinks were fantastic and well priced, and the chefs were great. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the beach, promenade, and shops, with a couple of shops or supermarkets close by. The busy road next door means you can hear traffic by the pool, but you get used to it. They play music during the day and evening, which is nice. A brilliant place for a relaxing sunny holiday, and we’ll definitely return.

We stayed at the verona appartments in the first week of September 2024, and had an awesome holiday. The place was clean and practical, with cleaners coming daily, fresh towels every day, and amazing food that was fresh and reasonably priced. The owners, staff, and everyone connected with the place were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, and the service was 110%. They accommodated anything we needed. Verona appartments, you rock. We were a family of eight and had a great time. The pool area was spotless, and the staff were fantastic, especially Ally, shariem, and Harry, who all went above and beyond. The management were lovely too. Hopefully we’ll be back soon x
