We had the feeling of spending a weekend at home with close friends, and Mr. Hamdi was a welcoming host with great conversation. He's well-traveled, and his hospitality was impeccable. The house itself is beautifully and carefully built, and clearly reflects his love of life. But our room wasn't clean, and we were genuinely cold because of the heating. On the food side, Nevzat was wonderful, everything he made was delicious. We served ourselves, though Nevzat brought us tea and coffee. We preferred making our own drinks and taking them to the table. For a lodging place run by someone with Mr. Hamdi's refined taste, I think the basic issues of cleanliness and heating really need attention.

The quiet setting makes it easy to unwind, and there are plenty of hiking routes if you feel like heading out. We felt more like we were staying at home than at a hotel. Ms. Şenay's food was delicious, and her cheerful energy was infectious. Thanks so much, we'd love to return as soon as we can. It's like a castle in the forest. Mr. Hamdi clearly put a lot of care into building it. Ask him about the details, like the hand-forged iron accessories and fireplace stones from Assos. Both breakfast and dinner were thoughtfully prepared, filling, and extremely tasty.

The rooms were awful, there was no hot water, and the electricity kept cutting out, supposedly because a transformer had fallen over. Don't be tempted by the photos or Google reviews. If you want to waste your money and feel a bit humiliated, this place is perfect. You might as well go clean your uncle's village house.

Last year the food and service were good, but this year it was awful. The place itself is nice, but it was cold and not clean. They put the food on the table and then eat at the same time, with no service. You get tea once, no refill. Breakfast was terrible, just olives, cheese, and jam, nothing else.
