Four Sides Bodrum Airport

The supervisor eventually fixed the checkout charge, but we were made to feel like criminals and nobody apologized. The checkout woman seemed to deliberately count our six boxes of biscuits as seven and overcharge us. I can’t tell whether that was her own attitude or the shop’s policy. I’ll need to check my card statement carefully when I get home. It left a bad taste as we were leaving Turkey.

The staff were incredibly helpful, and it was a quiet, peaceful place to relax. We arrived in the afternoon and left that evening because of our late flight. The rooms were clean and adequate, just as expected, and there’s a small, charming pool. The kitchen didn’t seem fully equipped yet. We had fried chicken for lunch and prime rib for dinner, and both were delicious. By Bodrum standards, I thought the price was reasonable, so it’s a good option before or after a flight.

Traffic from the busy road right beside the hotel can be heard from rooms near it. The grounds, gardens, and facilities are badly neglected, and neither management nor staff seem to have any professionalism in running a hotel. They wander around the premises like a gang. After a stay like this, I can’t imagine coming back. We spent 15 days there and the rooms were never cleaned. It took around four days to get a duvet, there’s no guest laundry service, and they wouldn’t even provide toilet paper unless we asked. Even paying by credit card was a problem: despite being in Turkey, they charged in Euros, which felt like another attempt to rip us off. For late checkout, they claimed the hotel system couldn’t bill us for half a day. A disaster of a hotel.

We had a car accident in Muğla yesterday, but thankfully we’re all right. Our car was taken to a repair shop very close to this hotel, and our insurance agent arranged a room for us. The hotel staff met us at the door and were so helpful. Thanks to them, we spent a comfortable night, almost as if we were at home, and our room was lovely too. It’s wonderful to know there are such kind people. Thank you for everything. We hope to stay with you again on happier days.
