TN & CO Hotel

The rooms are huge and very clean, and the hotel itself is spacious and beautifully made. It’s centrally located, so getting around the city on foot is easy. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Mugla.

You don’t get to choose your breakfast here. I asked for scrambled eggs, but they said they were too busy and couldn’t make them. Then our cook said the patient room wasn’t enough, and that they’d already given us a suite room. The person at reception called me to leave for a cheap price. This is the first time I’ve had such bad service. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel in Muğla. There’s no elevator in the three-story building, so you have to carry your suitcase on your lap.

The location is right in the city center, with cafes, restaurants, shops, and bakeries all within walking distance. TNCO is a sure bet for a quality stay, the kind that raises your expectations for hotels. I’m gushing because underwhelming hotel stays have made me hesitant to travel sometimes. We stayed for a week, and housekeeping always cleaned while we were out, which took real coordination with a family of four and two different nap schedules. At a five-star resort in Kos the week before, our room went unserviced on half the days because the kids were napping during the main cleaning hours, even when we’d told housekeeping when we expected to be out. Here the room always smelled clean without smelling of cleaning products, and I noticed they regularly wet-vacuumed the rug. With kids, that level of cleanliness brought real peace of mind. The suite rooms are much bigger than standard hotel rooms, with a separate work desk, plenty of shelf space for clothes instead of musty closed dresser drawers, and large windows full of light. The bathrooms were among the biggest I’ve seen in modern hotels. Reception helped with our bags and finding street parking. They even carried our stroller upstairs when they saw us coming in. Breakfast was our favorite part. There was something new or different each morning, sometimes chocolate cake, almond cookies, potatoes, or milk boxes for the kids. The lovely breakfast staff learned what we liked, even what size cup we preferred for tea. Have a chat with the owners if you get the chance. They’re a fascinating couple with deep knowledge of Mugla and lots of varied interests. They even spoke some Italian with my son.

This is my third stay here, and the friendly staff made an impression on me straight away. The hotel is a tall building in the historic city center, with a great view of the whole city from the roof. The rooms have a soft design and really good lighting, making them comfortable for both work and rest. Wi-Fi is good, and it’s quiet. If you meet the owners, they can tell you about interesting places to visit nearby.
