Gemosa Hotel Cappadocia

Even though we stayed just one night, our visit to Gemosa Cappadocia Hotel was unforgettable. The family who runs it made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, with a personal, welcoming kind of hospitality. The terrace was a lovely place to sit with Turkish tea and watch the Cappadocia landscape, especially at sunset. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a nice mix of traditional and modern decor. The bathroom was spotless and had everything needed for a relaxing stay. The family prepares the meals themselves, and everything we ate was fresh and delicious. You could taste the local ingredients and flavors. With the warm hospitality, comfortable rooms, good food, and beautiful views, we had a fantastic experience. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant, authentic stay in Cappadocia.

There’s easy parking, and plenty of places to sit outside, including shady terraces, a roof terrace, and a balcony off the room. The rooms have lovely decor, modern bathrooms, air conditioning, and WiFi, and there’s a restaurant. The welcome was delightful, and the charming rooms are close to the valley with cave houses and the town centre.

We loved watching the sunrise from the rooftop, with balloons in the distance over Göreme. The roof veranda and restaurant both had great views, and we admired the woodwork and layout. The family owners were welcoming and polite, and we ended up chatting with them late into the evening using broken English, poor Turkish, and sign language. It was great. We were there as a couple on a two-day Cappadocia tour from Antalya. The tour was very cheap, so we didn’t expect much, but the hotel completely blew us away. It combines modern and traditional touches and felt comfortable and homely. There’s no air conditioning, but it didn’t bother us because all the huge windows opened and let in a lovely breeze. The food was simple, traditional, tasty, and plentiful. My partner has a crushed disc in his spine and found the hotel very comfortable. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The area was quiet, and the staff were super nice, always smiling and attentive. The rooms were great, with beautiful decor and a jacuzzi. I stopped here during my holiday in Turkey and would happily come back. I highly recommend it!
