The cave rooms are remarkably close to the spaces people once lived in here, and ours was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. I’ve traveled to plenty of places, but this one has stayed with me. If you’re in Cappadocia and want the cave experience with a lot of comfort, this hotel is a must.

The building and its rooms are beautiful, and there’s history behind the place too. The owners are lovely and made us feel right at home. Such a beautiful stay.

Mustafapasa felt like a more authentic village than the others we visited. People were really nice, with plenty of restaurants and small shops, and we found parking near the hotel after renting a car. At Gibos Cave Hotel, the rooms are carved into the rock and manage to feel both genuine and very comfortable. You can see the care in the design. Breakfast each morning was fresh, tasty, and varied. The owners were the real highlight, though. They were kind and warm from the minute we arrived, and their hospitality made us feel at home. I can’t recommend Gibos Cave Hotel enough for a Cappadocia visit.

We had a wonderful time with the owners, including some fascinating conversations about culture and history. They were so helpful and hospitable, and even organized an amazing balloon ride for us. We felt at home in our beautiful, well-kept cave room. The outdoor space and rooftop were lovely places to catch some sun or watch the sunset over mustafapasa. Gibos made our time in Capadocia really special. We can’t wait to come back and sleep in a cave there again.

We only booked two nights and regretted not staying longer. This unique place was the highlight of our Turkey trip, and we’d wholeheartedly recommend it. We especially appreciated Adin and Hatice’s help. Their local connections let us plan activities and get access to popular attractions at fairer prices than tourists generally find. They’re thoughtful hosts, and they take real pride in showing guests around their beautiful, detailed cave hotel and explaining its history. It was an old cave dwelling that they turned into an accommodation. Mustafapaşa was a lovely choice for us. It’s peaceful, beautifully situated, and one of the region’s oldest areas. We preferred its more authentic feel to larger, well-known places like Göreme, especially if you’re not into the usual overrated tourist spots. Our stay was very pleasant. We’d read comments that the rooms can be chilly, but they provided a heater, so it wasn’t an issue for us.
