The little museum here remembers the painful population exchange between Greeks and Turks, and it gives the hotel a lot of meaning. The owner and staff were welcoming and always available. A wonderful place to begin a Cappadocia trip, with the history of the town and region all around you. Highly recommend it.

We only stayed one night in a triple room downstairs. The narrow passages and little alcoves lead into a genuinely cave-like space, and the bathroom was roomy and clean, with a jacuzzi tub. The bed was comfortable, and there was a TV, kettle and heater if needed. It stayed cool inside. There was grit and bits of stone falling from the ceiling, so the floor kept getting messy. Someone had left a moldy tea bag in the kettle, which meant we couldn't use it, and the bathroom toiletries could have been better.

We slept so well in the big cave room, with its comfy bed, jacuzzi, soft lighting and quiet. The hotel feels full of history, and the decorations give you a sense of Turkey's beauty. Sureyya and her family made us feel at home and shared tips for visiting Cappadocia. They can also arrange different experiences nearby. I spent three days here. Breakfast and dinner were both great, with authentic Turkish dishes.

The heating made the cave room comfortable at night, and sleeping in one was a great experience. The best breakfast I've had in Turkey so far was here, especially the Menemen, which you should try. The owner and staff were helpful and friendly, and wanted us to have a great time in Cappadocia.
