Hotel BFC Spa & Sport

I stayed from July 26 to July 29. Most things were acceptable, but breakfast was the same every day, with French fries as a side. That didn’t feel like a healthy breakfast, especially for a sports hotel. The staff’s English was so limited that there wasn’t much we could discuss. As a business traveler, I can usually get by with gestures and drawings. The main problem came with the invoice. At check-in, the receptionist asked me to pay right away. I got confirmation that my card had been charged, but no receipt. I asked for an invoice for my company, and they said they needed the company details first. After showering, I went to the hotel restaurant for dinner and gave them those details. They said they’d prepare the invoice at checkout. On checkout day, I paid for my minibar and restaurant drinks separately with my personal card, and explained I only needed an invoice for the hotel stay. I had breakfast, packed my bags, returned the room key, and asked for it. They didn’t give me an invoice then. I was in a hurry, and my colleagues were from Bursa, so I thought they could collect it later. That didn’t work out. The invoice they eventually issued had my name instead of the company details, and combined the room charge paid by company debit card with the extras I’d paid for personally. That would have been manageable if they could correct it, but they couldn’t. A month later, they still hadn’t replied to my email. My colleagues and I called many times and sent messages and emails, but they didn’t respond or fix the invoice. At first, they claimed they’d given it to me at checkout. If they had, why would I have asked for it again? And if it had been correct, why would I have asked them to correct it? At the end of the day, I also got the same breakfast as usual. The woman at reception smiled and said they hoped I’d leave a nice review. Nothing personal, but here’s what happened. I found the behavior very rude. If I have to stay in Bursa again and this is the only hotel available, I’d rather sleep in my car than at BFC hotel. Business travelers, stay away.
