Obruk Kervansaray Museum Hotel

We had a spacious, comfortable suite with modern amenities in this recently renovated building. The hotel is an 800 year old caravan trading stop built during Suljek Turk time as part of the silk road hotel chains. Its dining was a highlight too, with authentic Turkish food that you rarely find in areas full of tourists. There are also cultural items that help you learn about Turkish history. Since it's a small boutique hotel, booking during tourist seasons might be challenging. If you're travelling in the Konya region, this place could be a pleasant surprise.

Behind the hotel, there's a water filled sinkhole that's incredible, and the garden is thoughtfully planted to complement the restored building. We stayed in a king room with very high curved ceilings, a large bathroom, stained glass windows in the front facade, and in floor heating. It felt very luxurious. The restoration is impressive, with a careful eye for design and responsible use of materials. This was a glorious one night stop on our way from Isparta to Cappadocia. It's a little off the main route, but worth it, and the experience from start to finish was a treat. The young staff were enthusiastic, too.

The staff were so welcoming and extremely nice, and the food was wonderful. This beautifully renovated Kervansaray was a trip highlight, with a chance to relax and learn as well as eat well. If you're in the area, it's a must visit.

Sleeping here felt like being in an ancient castle, though the rooms had luxury facilities such as private hammams. I stayed here on 12/19/2025, and it's one of a kind as a historical site, museum, and hotel all at once. The staff were amazing. A beautiful lady who speaks perfect English gave us fascinating tours of the museum and was incredibly hospitable from check-in through check-out. The chef turned both dinner and breakfast into extraordinary feasts featuring traditional Turkish cuisine. An unforgettable stay. Thanks, everyone, and I hope I can visit again soon.
