Aes Club Hotel

We went out to Hisoranu a few times in the evenings. It's about a 15 minute walk, and the taxi back cost around 200 TL. There's a good choice of restaurants and bars there. We liked one with a bartender who looked a bit like Freddy Mercury, though I think it was called Tonics Bar or something similar. The shops have the moody designer stuff if that's your thing, and I liked the gift shops. The hotel isn't a good fit if you want to be able to walk straight to the beach, but there is transport. We took the hotel shuttle to Paradise Beach and had a lovely day with live music, food and drinks. Another day we walked about 10 minutes to the bus for Oludeniz, which cost about £1. Two sunbeds and a parasol there were 900 TL for the day, though some people just used towels or brought their own chairs. The beach is gravelly rather than sandy, so take shoes you can get wet in. Bare feet weren't comfortable. We ate at Buzz Bar in Oludeniz and really enjoyed it. Booking ahead got us a terrace table. Back at the hotel, the pool and bar area were clean, and we spent a lot of time there. Towels started appearing on loungers after 8am, but we still found a place, perhaps because it wasn't school holiday time. The entertainment was great both day and night. We especially liked pool volleyball and polo, and there was never any pressure to join in. When we stayed in, there were dancers, a quiz and music at the hotel bar. The entertainment team worked hard and made the holiday more fun. My husband and I are both vegetarian, so I wasn't sure how much we'd find to eat, but the food was varied and tasty. We both enjoyed it, and non-vegetarian guests we met liked the restaurant too. The juice machine can be temperamental, so sometimes you have to press it a few times. We had a basic room, small but clean and comfortable. The balcony felt restrictive for two, and our room faced a wall. If you want to spend time sitting on the balcony, I'd suggest paying for an upgraded room facing the pool. We were happy relaxing by the pool bar instead. The hotel had a chilled, friendly feel. I felt comfortable there, and nobody seemed posh or judgemental. My husband and I have just come back from a week at AES Club Hotel and had a lovely time. We went a little out of season, so it was nicely busy without queues, though I'd imagine school holidays could be different, especially at the restaurant. Quite a few people we met had returned several times, which seems like a good sign. I'd recommend the hotel.

The food doesn't change much. If you like it on day one, you'll probably be eating the same thing for the whole four weeks. I like karaoke, and lots of people asked to sing a second song but didn't get the chance. It's the first time I've seen them play a song and then do karaoke.

The room was pristine every day, and the spa was the most relaxing part of the stay. Aisha was so hospitable, and Serhat made sure I was looked after. Apo even found the glasses I left behind and made sure I got them back safely. He and Ria from the entertainment team were great fun and kept us from getting bored. The reception team, Berat and Muhammad, welcomed us and showed us where everything was. Rana, Samed and Ayberk at the bar had such happy energy that they made me smile, and made sure I got the most out of all inclusive. I came for my boyfriend's birthday in September and stayed nine days. I can't fault the place, and would come back a million times. Thank you.

This was our second visit to AES Club Hotel, and we were very happy with it. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Sarah, whose job title I'm not sure of, was often around the bar and pool chatting with guests. She was from Iran and such a pleasant young lady. We hope to return next year. There was a good food selection each day. Fresh omelets were served every morning, and the dessert buffet was excellent. During the day, drinks came in plastic tumblers, while in the evening they switched to smaller glasses.
