Akdeniz Beach Hotel

The beds were very firm and uncomfortable, and the room only got cleaned a couple of times during the week. Still, it was a lovely stay and good value for money. The location is amazing, and it's a small, friendly hotel with helpful staff. Food was okay, with no huge choice, but there was more than enough for me.

The location was the saving grace for us. I like to go out anyway, so it worked, but if you want to spend all day at an all inclusive, there are better options, even if they cost a little more. After stays in many places around the world, I'd put this no higher than 2 star, and I wouldn't return. The food didn't have much variety. My wife is vegetarian and didn't find many good options, so we often ate out. When chicken was served, about 80% seemed to be watery, oily sauce, and you had to fish out the small pieces. The all inclusive bar was okay, though drinks ordered from the pool were often forgotten. At dinner, staff were friendly and constantly clearing tables. There were a few harmless cats around too. We weren't expecting a top end hotel, but I wouldn't rate this as 3 star. The air con and beds were okay, but the sheets had holes and the blankets in the cupboard were dusty. The shower was rarely even warm, and sometimes the bathroom smelled like sewage. The toilet paper was poor and there was never enough. I had to go to reception several times, often because they'd noted the problem but still didn't give us any. The location is great, though.

The place is quiet, with barely any kids, and the evenings are pretty dead, though there are good bars just down the road. The location is excellent, just a two minute walk to the seafront or strip and about ten minutes to the blue lagoon. We arrived and felt underwhelmed by our room. It was outdated, run down and not very clean, with a broken toilet seat and air con, rusty taps, partly painted walls and terrible beds. We complained and got another room, which was much better. It seems standard rooms are a bit of a lottery, with some terrible and some okay. The hotel is small and basic but does the job. Food was about what you'd expect, maybe a bit less, and the drinks were basic local stuff. The reviews here seem a bit hush. It's a cheap stay with friendly staff and worth the money, but I wouldn't return.

Emel is a great host, and the staff are lovely and helpful. The beach is just a couple of minutes away, and for the price, the hotel is good value. The food is average and the rooms are kind of okay. I didn't like that the air con blew straight onto the bed, so I couldn't use it much. The curtains weren't good either. You get what you pay for, so don't expect too much and enjoy your time. You'll be alright.
