Aygul Hotel

I wish I could come back to Fethiye, because I’d definitely choose this hotel again. We stayed one night and would have stayed longer if we could. The views from the rooms and cafe were lovely and relaxing, with a unique sea view and paragliders in one of the best areas. The hotel is beautiful and very green, full of flowers and trees. The restaurant and cafe are on the third floor, where the pool is too. Breakfast had an open menu with lots of variety. Great facilities and friendly staff.

The local bus picks you up and drops you off right outside, which is handy. The mosque nearby was expected, and the only road into town is outside our room, but the views make up for that. I loved it. It’s basic, very clean and has friendly staff, wonderful food, a great pool and great views. Even the communal toilets are clean. We had a great week and I’d absolutely come again.

This place was horrendous. The breakfast was terrible, and every day you get the same traditional Turkish breakfast with no choice. The rooms were smelly and outdated. The man at the main desk was always asleep in the back storage cupboard. Love holidays advertises this as a 4 star hotel, but it wouldn’t even get 1 star. It’s a small family-run business, most of the workers are children, and nobody speaks English. Disgusting.

I loved how clean everything was, and the cleaner even left a different lovely towel display each day. We had the pool to ourselves for sunny afternoons, and the snacks by the pool were good and so cheap. The staff were lovely too. It is beside a road, as some reviews say, but the views are amazing, and being out of town suited us. It’s only a short taxi ride, and Fethiye is easy to get to. We had a hairdryer, fridge, and air conditioning, so what more could you ask for? It’s a perfect little hidden gem, run by locals, and I’ll be back. Some of the reviews have me cross.
