King Royal Palace Ölüdeniz

The room decor was a little tired and could use a lick of paint, but that was easy to overlook when I woke each morning to a spectacular view and friendly staff. The lobby was welcoming and clean. There are three pools, cleaned daily, and a nearby bar where Alperen makes cocktails. We had fun trying different flavours, all non-alcoholic. Try the peach and cranberry colada. Every staff member was kind and helpful, especially hotel manager berk and efe. The service was brilliant, and they sorted questions or problems quickly. The rest of the team knew the area and spoke great English, with good suggestions for places to eat and visit. Getting around was easy: taxis to hisaranu and oludinez cost 200TL each way, and I think the bus was 40TL each way, though I only took it once. I'd give it four stars. It's reasonably priced, scenic, and a good place for families, away from the towns' hustle and nightlife.

This was one of the worst hotel stays we've had. The pictures and promises of a “great view” are misleading. The view was nice, but the room was disgusting, with mold all over the walls and a terrible smell. When we reported it, the staff first ignored us and acted as if it wasn't a big deal. We had to insist repeatedly before they moved us. The replacement room was tiny and dark, and nothing like what we'd paid for. The pool was dirty too, with cigarette butts floating in it. The manager never apologized or offered compensation, and didn't seem to care how bad our stay was. We actually felt sick after being in the moldy room. The place needs better management and more respect for guests. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here.

My family, a couple of friends, and I booked King Royal Palace for a week in September 2025 while we were in Oludeniz for a wedding. There were some nice things about the hotel, but we were very disappointed in other areas. The reception looked lovely and clean, with great views. Our jacuzzi room seemed okay at first, but on closer inspection it wasn't very clean. There was dried blood on the balcony and dirty towels, among other problems. One person in our group had a swim-up room that also looked okay at first, but the bathroom door had a punch hole, and the room was damp and needed quite a bit of work. The pool area was really lovely, with gorgeous views and plenty of sunbeds. The bar was a letdown: it was closed half the time, and when open, staff didn't know how to make the menu cocktails. They ran out of beer and wine several times, and just said no when we asked for something. The location didn't work for us either. It's on a very busy dual carriageway, so you can't walk down to Oludeniz and have to take taxis everywhere. They only cost 200 lira, but we hadn't realised we couldn't walk anywhere. With two young children in prams, getting in and out of taxis was a faff, and we wouldn't have booked if we'd known. This should be stated on all websites. Breakfast wasn't great, though there was a good choice of bar snacks for lunch.

We stayed for five nights and had no problems. The service and staff were great. Many thanks to Yağmur, who looks after the breakfast and dining area. She's especially attentive and kind. Thanks to the kitchen staff as well, the food was excellent. The hotel is about 100 metres from the cable car and has a great view of Ölüdeniz. It's close enough to the beach, but also quiet if you'd rather be away from the noise. We hope to return.
