Mo's bar was a good spot for drinks and light snacks, though it could have used more staff. The grounds and pool were kept spotless, and we saw regular upkeep. We stayed for 10 nights. The villas had plenty of space but felt a little dated, and our room was cleaned only twice. The cleaners were very polite. The location worked well, about a 20-minute walk to town, with a taxi button right outside if needed. The hill is quite steep.

The pool was lovely, and the place felt quiet and peaceful. Our villa was nice too, but we got just one change of towels and bed linen during the week, and only after I asked about it. The snack bar meals were good. I’d avoid running a tab there and pay as you go for food and drinks. I think the barman overcharged me more than once, including charging several times for tokens for the boxing machine my son used.

The villa itself was large and beautiful, and we were given a discounted rate at the all-inclusive Okra Sunset, whose facilities were brilliant. But the company hadn’t told us the resort had closed a week earlier. On our first day there was only a barman, with no drinks or other facilities available. The main hotel, whose facilities were included in our holiday price, was also closed the next day, so those facilities weren’t available either.

That big pool area is fabulous, and the poolside bar has lovely food and drinks with a friendly barman. Orka Park is my first choice for holiday accommodation. It may not suit everyone, since it’s a bit of a walk downhill into town.

There are around 20 or more villas in the complex. We rented a clean, comfortable, stylish three-bedroom villa. I’d strongly recommend it for a group.
