Residence 222 Hisaronu Hotel

We had a really nice 10 days at Residence222 and would stay again without a doubt. The location was great, the food was very good, and breakfast had a good selection. The staff were lovely, especially the bar team, who couldn’t do enough for us. I took one star off for a personal gripe, but it was a very nice place to stay.

The rooms were kept clean and tidy, and I could always see the cleaners working hard around the hotel. The staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive, and they really made our stay. We also had some of the best hotel food and drinks we’ve tried. The food arrived quickly after we ordered and was good value. Thank you to the chefs and everyone who helped make our holiday great. I wish I’d got all their names so I could thank them. We’d definitely stay again if we came back to Hisaronu. Thank you, Residence 222 😊

We had an enormous, well-maintained two-storey swim-up room. Breakfast was very good and the poolside snacks were excellent. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

My 9-year-old son and I had one of the worst holidays of our lives at this accommodation. The first night was awful: our room smelled strange, the bin was full of rubbish left by previous guests, the floor hadn’t been swept, the curtains were hanging down, and the phone didn’t work. I complained and was told they’d fix things, but we couldn’t sleep because doors kept banging in nearby rooms and musicians played nonstop. The breakfast was not bad, but we ate nothing after returning from a half-day excursion. I felt unwell after eating crab I’d bought for 15€ on the trip, and the nightmare started. The manager apologized for the first night and changed our room. The new room was very nice, but had no bin or cutlery, and the phone still didn’t work. I vomited more than 20 times from 10 pm. I believe I got food poisoning from the excursion food. By 8 am I was exhausted and alone in the room with a minor child, unable to call reception to cancel our excursion on the boat black pearl, which cost 75€. I tried calling, but nothing worked. A young man eventually came up, and I explained that I was sick and needed a doctor urgently. I also said I needed to shave my armpits, though they may not have understood me well since their English seemed limited. We waited three hours and no doctor came. I kept calling with no answer and no one came to the room. At 10:15, they seemed to be bothered about the excursion. They changed my phone then and told me I hadn’t informed them about the trip, even though the problem was theirs. They said a doctor would come after 4. I was burning with fever and had been waiting for hours. I asked for a little bread for my child because I couldn’t move, but they looked at me as if I were crazy. Shame on them. The woman at reception didn’t care about the excursion money, no one seemed interested, and she collected it while I had a fever of 39. I changed our tickets and we returned to Rhodes. Shame on them.
