Ünsal Hotel

We came back on our second night for a quiet dinner after spotting the menu outside. The prices looked very reasonable, and there was a good choice. The chef made us two lovely meals, and I was pleased with the bill, which is unusual for me 😔. Thanks for the lovely service. A very classy hotel in the middle of Oludeniz Turkiye. DW1.

The restaurant was delicious at breakfast and dinner, and the rooms were really comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool and in-room jacuzzi were nice extras. A big thank you to the owner and staff!

The beach is only a short walk away, and the pool was clean and nice for sunbathing. Those were the only good parts of our stay at Unsal Hotel, which we’d looked forward to most on our Turkey trip. It ended up being the biggest disappointment. Our room was tiny and beside the bar. Loud music carried on until midnight every night of our five-night stay. I attached a video from our first night, when we were worn out from traveling and just wanted to sleep. The room facilities were poor too. The blanket felt rough, the shampoo and shower gel were watered down, and the hairdryer stopped working. There was no replacement. Housekeeping showed up at unpredictable times, from 9:45 am one day to 1:00 pm another. They don’t speak English, and if we couldn’t let them in right then, they never came back. I’ve never stayed anywhere else where guests had to work around the cleaners’ schedule. When I was injured and asked for first aid, reception gave me iodine and cotton, then said I should buy bandages at the market. Senior staff seemed impatient with basic requests, though keen to sell tours and extras. This was far below what we expected, and I don’t understand the high rating. If you stay, avoid the garden room. There are much better places nearby with the same location.

The main drawback was the loud music from nearby bars. Restaurant staff also seemed unhappy at times when we asked for things or for information, like where to get more pool towels, so I gave service four stars. We were six people, three adults and three kids, and stayed two nights in two rooms. Both rooms were clean, well kept, and air-conditioned. Breakfast was really good, and you can see into the kitchen while they cook. The hotel restaurant was nice as well. The pool worked well for the kids: there’s a small pool and a splash pool for toddlers who can walk, though toddlers can’t sit in the splash pool. Since the hotel is a short walk from the beach, not many people pass right by the rooms, which gives a nice sense of privacy. I’d recommend it to a friend and would book here again when I’m back in the area.
