After this happened, I was still able to find a lovely beachside place with great staff, and it helped restore my faith a bit. But on my seventh trip to Marmaris, I had a serious problem with another customer here. The staff took no information from me and decided I was in the wrong. I was assaulted, and the video footage and anything else that might have cleared things up disappeared. I'm still pursuing criminal charges against the establishment.

The food was very average, and the guest communication wasn't great either. The Turkish breakfast also wasn't what we're used to. They serve it and that's that, while other restaurants will ask if you'd like a second round of tea and things like that.

The best thing here is the balcony view over the beach and mountains. Kizkumu beach is right in front of the hotel, and the calm water stays about belly-high for 15m-25m from shore, which seems good for kids. You get a 24/7 reception, a hotel restaurant and bar, and breakfast is included. The bungalows were in decent, clean condition, with a wardrobe, flatscreen TV, small fridge, cooler, ceiling ventilator, and a bathroom with a toilet, shower cabin and sink. There are groceries within walking distance, and hourly public transport runs between the hotel and Marmaris. There are some practical drawbacks. The bungalows have no WIFI, only the area by reception does. Cleaning is only done if you ask, which feels like cost-cutting dressed up as "privacy". They also seem very stingy with toilet paper, soap and clean towels, so you have to request those each time. Getting to the beach means crossing a busy road with no crossing, which could be dangerous with kids. From 11h00-16h00 the area gets noisy and crowded as tour jeeps and yachts bring groups of tourists through nonstop, around 50-70 people an hour. Beach chairs, umbrellas, showers, toilets and bar service are available, but all the beach facilities cost money and are very expensive: 10 TL for a beverage and 20 TL for one beach seat. Even at those prices, the beach and its equipment aren't kept very clean. There are also animals for photos, including a camel, pony, parrots and ducks. The camel, pony and ducks looked sad and neglected, and there was a strong smell around their waiting area, especially in the crushing heat. The hotel and restaurant staff and management seemed helpful and engaged at first, but they didn't follow through on promises about some services and prices, including transportation to other places in the area. The prices they ended up asking were almost the same as taxis. Communication between management and staff, and then with customers, seems to break down into a game of OK/NOK. You really need a car to visit other sites and beaches in the area, some of which are even more beautiful than Kizkumu, since public transportation doesn't go to them often enough or at all. The hotel restaurant was the worst part for me. Breakfast is basic, limited and exactly the same every day. Several people complained, especially since the bungalows aren't cheap and breakfast is included. The restaurant owners were very unfriendly and, in my experience, not honest or reliable in their dealings with clients. The staff seemed unhappy, and the restaurant was still ridiculously expensive. Taxi services in Marmaris were another major problem. They know public transport won't take you to every place worth visiting, and take advantage by asking prices only idiots would pay. There are other bungalow hotels along Kizkumu beach I'd recommend instead. They are right at the beach, so you don't cross a dangerous road, and they're quiet and relaxed, without outside tourist groups running all over the place and over you. They felt better equipped, with a premium, personal and romantic feel. Their beach and water were super clean, unlike Kizkumu, which suffers from outside tourist groups and poor maintenance by the beach management. They also had better, more varied premium restaurants at lower prices, and a smile came free. The view of Kizkumu is the one thing that makes this bungalow hotel special. For me, it's suitable for a 1-2 day stay at most.

The rooms are comfortable and new, and this is a lovely little hotel in Orhaniye. We enjoyed the bar and the music they played. Breakfast and service were excellent, and there's also a restaurant serving international food.

The sea view is wonderful and the nature around the bungalow is amazing, but you really need a car or scooter to do anything, so rent one in Marmaris. The owner is kind and speaks English. I just think he should make sure the rooms are cleaned properly every day, especially between guests. It's dirty, and expensive for this kind of service. There are no kettles or cups in the rooms, either. You can hear cars at night because the bungalow is near the road.
