Bybassios Hotel

We were a family of five and stayed two nights around our sailing holiday. We arrived at 1.30 am and the owner was still there to greet us. After coming off the boat on Friday afternoon, we booked another two rooms for Friday night. That gave us a relaxing evening and day before leaving on Saturday evening. The breakfast was excellent. I had Turkish Eggs, and there were also eggs to choose from, different breads, juices, fruit, yoghurt, and a cheese board. We had lunch and dinner too. The food was fairly simple but delicious, especially the salads. We spent the day by the pool and sunbeds, with table tennis and table football for entertainment. The rooms were very clean, though not modern, and had a good shower. The owners took care of all our needs and were good fun. They even shared a small raki for bedtime. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting an extra night during a sailing, boating, or yachting holiday. Seeing Turkish families and couples staying there reassured me that it would be good. We had a wonderful time with our two kids. They made friends straight away, and the hotel felt like a family place thanks to the lovely staff. The pool was nice, too. We ate dinner at the hotel three times, and every meal was fresh and really delicious. Breakfast is worth getting as well: there's a buffet, a cheese plate, and eggs made individually for everyone, a healthy way to start the day. After a long journey, the welcoming hosts made my wish for delicious wine and a Turkish dinner come true. In the morning, a lovely breakfast was waiting, beautifully presented. The hotel is in a picturesque setting, with clean, cozy rooms and a very hospitable married couple hosting it.

The mountain setting beside the clear, warm sea makes this feel like a little piece of heaven. The hotel is a dream for a slow traveller: quiet and peaceful, with a lovely garden and pool. I looked forward to breakfast every day, and everything tasted delicious and natural. The owners are kind, easygoing, and clearly experienced in tourism. They never said no to any of my requests during the stay. My room was clean and comfortable, and stayed cool even when it was very hot outside. The balcony became one of my favourite places to sit, shaded by a lemon tree and surrounded by blooming bushes. It's easy to get here from Marmaris, since the local bus stops right outside. There are lots of walking trails nearby, and the village is worth exploring for its natural beauty and architecture from past centuries. I already hope to return as soon as I can.
