Erasmus Apart Hotel

The rooms were large and very clean, though the accommodation itself is modest. What really stood out was breakfast. We come to Turkey every year, and this was the best one we’ve had here. There was so much choice, all fresh and homemade with real care. More food even came out after we took our photos, and our pictures still don’t capture how good it was. Better than the breakfasts at the five-star hotels we’ve stayed in.

Breakfast was fantastic, easily the best part of our one-night stay, and it lifted my rating by one star. Thanks to Turgay and the hotel staff for being kind and helpful. Dalyan was quiet and pleasant in April, and the hotel is near the riverside, restaurants and cafes. But the room felt as cold as the outside at night, around 10°C, because the doors and windows didn’t insulate well. After a shower, the bathroom floor was slippery and felt dangerous, with no shower enclosure. There was no hot water in the morning, and the internet wasn’t good in our top-floor room.

The breakfast was the best we’ve had in Türkiye, with loads of choices and food that tasted lovingly made. Deniz and her father were wonderful hosts, and everyone on staff was warm and kind. Deniz also shared recommendations that helped us save money. We only planned to stay one night, then extended it to four. From our room we could see the Kaunos tombs, and the place felt peaceful and almost magical. Dalyan itself felt like heaven to us, with the river among the mountains and clear beaches 10-30 minutes away. For this price, I don’t understand the low ratings. If you expect a modern bathroom and fast internet, book a proper hotel. We felt lucky to be here and hope to return for the rest of our lives.

The rooms are roomy, clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The furnishings are old, but they’re adequate. We couldn’t quite work out the air conditioning at first because it wasn’t connected to the main room, though we found a way around it. If you need somewhere to sleep and have breakfast, it’s a good deal. It would suit children or a larger group especially well.
