Sybil and Mustafa were incredibly friendly hosts. They’re the friendliest people I’ve met in Turkey, and that’s saying something. We were in the west-facing top-floor apartment, away from the pool. The sloped ceiling meant headroom was tight, and I bumped my head a few times before learning to duck. The kitchen had basic utensils, but anything extra was easy to find cheaply in town. There’s a great homewares shop up the main street opposite Bim supermarket, and I brought quite a lot home. The fridge and air conditioning unit were brand new, and the large bed was comfortable. The shower room had more low, angled ceiling sections, but there was a lovely mountain view through its little window. The TV worked. From the small balcony in the afternoon, you’re right by the birds’ flight path between the palm trees, which was a lovely bonus. We’d booked a package holiday that took us to a terrible hotel, so the next day we were tired and stressed and looked at a few other places. As soon as we came through the gate and met Sybil, we knew we’d found somewhere special. Thinking of it still warms my heart. Thank you, Princess of Özlap. Wishing you a happy and prosperous future ❤️
