Villa Konak Yalcin

The house was tidy and the rooms were clean. There was working air conditioning in every room, and getting there was easy, with street parking available wherever there was a spot. The main issue was how our early departure was handled. We had planned to stay 10 days with our children, who were 3.5 and 4.5, and paid for six days by EFT on arrival, intending to settle the rest later. The children struggled with the July heat and kept getting fevers. We tried antibiotics and other things, but they didn't help. Although the house had air conditioning, they couldn't adjust, so we decided to leave on the evening of day five and told the owner we'd go the next morning. He got angry and said we'd caused him trouble, that he'd lost customers and money, and that we'd already agreed to stay 10 days. We explained what was happening, but he showed no sympathy and didn't even look at the children. We said we might return, but he told us that didn't matter, and kept saying we hadn't decided suddenly and that he was losing money. When we asked for an invoice, he said odd things like, "don't hit me with the invoice, I'll cut off your services," and made it difficult to get one. We eventually sorted it out by staying conciliatory. We didn't want to drag things out because the service had already dropped a lot. He was impolite, and the WiFi wouldn't connect. I'm giving three stars for the cleanliness of the house and building. If you stay here, make sure to book just one day at a time, or you may face strange accusations. He cares about losing money, but not that the children are sick.
