House 1938 Special Cave Hotel

For the same price, I could have stayed somewhere better. The bathtub was broken, and there was no room service, so the trash sat there for three days. Reception was usually empty when I needed help. I was told breakfast ran from 8:30 to 10:30, but when I came at 10 there was no breakfast and nobody around to explain where it was.

We were warm and comfortable in Cave Suite, number 101, even though it was about 5 degrees Celsius outside at night. The bed was large and soft, the room was spacious and clean, and it had what we needed, including complimentary fruits, coffee, and tea. There was also a lovely Turkish bath, and the shower had hot water with a strong flow. I stayed two nights in mid-April 2023 with my Thailand tour group, and it was a memorable visit. Staff were all friendly and polite. The rooftop, decorated with Turkish carpets, was a beautiful spot for photos. The service and quality were better than I’d expected.

House 1938 Hotel was perfectly placed near the shopping street, so we could easily reach shops and restaurants. The nearby smaller streets also opened onto beautiful views of the Cappadocian landscape. We visited Cappadocia with our family on April 9-11, 2024, as part of a tour group from Indonesia, and the hotel’s vintage style gave the stay a special charm. Its decor felt thoughtful, elegant, and cozy, with every corner seeming to tell a story. The manager’s personal care stood out: she served breakfast and dinner herself and made us feel at home. The atmosphere, service, and location exceeded what we expected. We give it five stars and highly recommend it for a memorable stay in Cappadocia.

The staff cared so much about making our stay enjoyable, and even told us the interesting history of the mansion. As a couple, we had an amazing time in a spacious room where we felt like honored guests in the original mansion. Breakfast was included and delicious. The terrace view was great, especially at night when we could lie on the cushions, listen to blues chosen by our hosts, and watch the sky. It felt magical. Thank you 👍
