Sirius Otel Pamukkale

The location was good and the hotel was very clean, but the stay felt more stressful than relaxing. There was no electric kettle in the room or in-room service, so for things like toilet paper we had to go ask at the front desk. One of the older female staff members also seemed unfriendly, which left us feeling a little unwelcome. She was strict about parking and asked for our room key whenever we went out. I was hoping for a more comfortable, guest-friendly atmosphere.

We booked the wrong month, choosing September 17-18 when we meant to book August 17-18. Mustafa bey initially kindly agreed to approve a cancellation through his aide, but then rejected our request on Agoda. We paid for a room we won't be staying in.

This family-run hotel was much more accommodating than most big chains. They fitted us in for a late check-in and took great care of us when our transfer was delayed. The family were so hospitable, and even surprised us with fresh watermelon and Turkish Tea. They arranged balloon rides on short notice for a reasonable price. The main attractions are within walking distance, and our room was clean and modern, with the best AC we had in Turkey.

Their homemade Turkish breakfast was the highlight for me. This family-run hotel is also an easy walk from restaurants and bars, and has great access to the ancient city and travertines. The owner knew the area well and shared helpful tips on enjoying it.
