It’s tucked away on a quiet old back lane, yet you can reach the old town center in under 10 minutes through the alleys. The owners of this charming, old-style pansiyon were kind and accommodating. Our room had plenty of character, the bathroom was spotless, and breakfast was generous and delicious. They also make a great coffee. Highly recommended.

The customer service left us feeling unwelcome. The woman wouldn’t make fried eggs, even though we asked and had seen them in the photos. After checkout she also wouldn’t let us sit in the “lobby” to work, saying it might disturb other guests, though there were barely any. We had to finish on our computers in the garden, and throughout the stay she gave us a lot of unpleasant looks. The room was another disappointment. We had booked a family room because we wanted space, and the listing said 30 square meters, but it was barely 20 and felt very cramped. Breakfast was limited too, and for the first two days the only eggs were hard-boiled, despite our request for fried ones. It didn’t measure up to Turkish standards. The hotel is in a peaceful valley between the new and old towns, about a 15-minute walk from each. There’s a lovely garden, but it was closed for most of our visit even though the weather was great.

Aydin Bey and Hajar Hanim made our stay unforgettable with their generous, thoughtful hospitality. Their charming house is a wonderful place to experience true Konak hospitality. Thank you both for being so gracious and kind.

Breakfast was lovely, and the staff were welcoming and gave excellent service. It was a charming, comfortable stay. I’d happily come back and highly recommend it.
