The service let us down badly. There were no soap or shampoo when we arrived, so I had to borrow some from another guest. I told reception the next day and still got nothing. Their explanation was that the person in charge was on leave. Breakfast wasn't available either, because the person meant to prepare it didn't show up that day. The walk up to this Konak is very steep, something people with luggage or mobility problems should know. Inside, the rooms felt neglected, with poor upkeep and no real decor. Loose wires hanging around were a serious safety concern. The bathroom was cramped and awkward, making it hard to sit or move around. From the outside the building looks charming and suggests a traditional stay, but what we found inside was a disaster.

I really liked the place. It has a lovely atmosphere and is close to the town's attractions, including the hamam and center. The bed was comfortable and the heaters were on. The bathroom is a little small, but it's an old house, so keep that in mind.

Dinner and breakfast in the garden were a highlight, both home cooked and available for a reasonable price. The owners made us feel like family, and the place felt more like a home than a hotel. The rooms have character and are comfortable. All four of us had a magnificent stay and highly recommend it.

The family-run hotel is split between two buildings, one with a restaurant and cafe, and the other with a self-catering kitchen. The yellow building is 173 years old, and a movie about the founder of Turkey was filmed there about three months ago. The host is very friendly, and the garden is lovely for families. You can walk to a 372-year-old Turkish bath and the town center. We love the town and its architecture, and highly recommend staying here if you're visiting.

The family are friendly and nice, and the bed is comfortable. The place is shared, though the rooms are separate. It's suited to people who like old buildings, but there are some drawbacks: the rooms and bathroom are narrow, there's dust on the floor, and the chair is unstable. The road there is flat but rocky.
