Hampton By Hilton Sakarya

I've been coming to this modern hotel in a prime location regularly for 15 months. Last year, damage around the property and poor service stood out. My most recent two visits were much better: the hotel is now in excellent condition, and the breakfast has improved dramatically. It also seems there's been a positive change in personnel. Front desk staff came across as friendlier and more professional, and the hotel has made real progress. I can recommend staying here now.

The shower backed up until the bathroom became a little pool. I reported the clogged drain at reception, messaged them, and someone came to the room, but nobody fixed it. The response was so slow that it never really came at all. Bathing turned into a challenge, especially if you enjoy waiting to see whether the water might drain. A great fit for guests who like handling problems themselves.

Hampton by Hilton Sakarya is in a great spot, with two shopping centers and plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was clean, and one male receptionist was polite and professional. He kept the price we'd agreed on by phone and helped with a smile, even though his English was limited. I don't know his name because staff didn't wear name tags. My stay still left me disappointed, and I wouldn't return. On arrival, a female receptionist frowned, was rude, said she didn't understand English, and wouldn't honor the phone price. I wondered whether the price depended on nationality, but I don't know. Luckily, the male receptionist later helped. The room was small, the bed and pillows uncomfortable, and the AC didn't work well. There were no basic kits like a toothbrush or sewing kit. Breakfast was very basic, the cutlery wasn't clean, and service was poor. The waiters offered tea to Turkish guests but didn't ask us, so we had to get it ourselves. That unequal treatment was disappointing. Most of the staff chatted among themselves instead of checking on guests.

Really nice hotel, good food, room service, and such helpful employees! They even left a little surprise in my room. I’ll definitely book again. Love it xx
