Sapanca Villa Isengard

Days before our two-night family stay, I spoke with the owner, Oğuz, and paid a deposit. Half an hour before we arrived, he told me he’d rented the villa to someone else. He showed us other places, but they were boxy and had no view, and said, “If you don’t like it, I’ll just pay your deposit and go.” We’d travelled a long way, so I explained we needed a solution that accounted for our time and travel costs, but he kept pushing those poor villas. I found another place myself, but it cost a little more. I asked him to cover at least half the difference, and he said, “I won’t pay a penny.” He refused to take responsibility for his mistake, leaving us stuck and out extra money, after I’d already lost three hours arguing with him. With our wives and children there, it felt like he was trying to get the upper hand even though he knew he’d put us in this position. His business ethics were zero. I chose not to pursue the police station or legal action because I didn’t want to upset our families further or ruin the day. I’m writing this so God will find it and others will pay attention.

It’s amazing to find a place this beautiful so close to Istanbul. We got to enjoy nature, the scenery, peace, and fun, and felt we got good value for our money. The venue is high quality, and the service is friendly and good. I highly recommend considering it.

Such a lovely spot where the green meets the blue, and still so close to Istanbul. We had a beautiful, peaceful time there, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable getaway 👍

At Villa Asgard, my wife accidentally left behind a valuable item and it was thrown away. I’ve never come across that kind of carelessness. Guests’ belongings should be set aside and kept safe.
